SWEET & SAVORY PUMPKIN CHILI
it’s pumpkin spice season. This simple recipe gives you a taste of fall without the guilt. Perfect for the Ascend Slim losing phase and beyond.
Now to be honest, it takes too much time to find a great recipe and then have to scroll 3 pages to the bottom. So let's get to it!
Ingredients:
- 4 oz. ground turkey, beef, or bison
- 1 c. canned pumpkin (check for no added sugars, chemicals or bad fillers!)
- 2 tsp. minced onion flakes
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- 1/4 tsp. sage
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. (or to taste) beef bone broth
- 2 c. water
- 1 tsp. chili powder
Directions:
- Brown the meat in a saucepan over medium-high heat
- Add onion flakes, thyme, sage, and cinnamon and cook another 2-4 minutes
- Add pumpkin, water, beef broth, and chili powder, bring to a simmer
- Reduce heat and continue cooking/stirring until cooked through!
Such a simple but delicious twist on chili! I will say, if you don't want the "sweet," you can try substituting garlic for the cinnamon. I also like to over-do it on the chili powder, but I am adventurous with my recipies and end up adding much more seasoning than listed to most of them!

I would personally pair this with roasted brussel sprouts or carrots, as well as apple slices and cinnamon to complete the meal!
Feel free to add in chopped roma tomatoes if your heart desires.
You could also take a Joseph's pita to dip, or flat-out tortilla to air fry and make your own crispy toppings!
